Ezsébet Sárközy's artworks

‘The past 10 years have been hard in general, with many unnecessary struggles... ...I thought I was not going to paint anymore. I never liked bothering with something that is pointless. Then in the spring, when the almond trees were blooming, we got into the car and visited the Balaton Uplands. The almond tree covered by petals is my favorite. Such a beautiful scene when it still doesn't have leaves, only those delicately colored flowers and the sheer structure of the tree itself. Then and there, the picturesque scenery, the smells, the colors reminded me of Tuscany. Upon arriving home I felt I was going to paint then, after all. An image of an almond tree reached the canvas first. It wasn’t even completed when the idea of a second painting came to mind, then, one after another, came the rest.’
